the story behind the song--
this vocal is almost a complete live take/straight shot. that night in the studio(with bryan myers engineering), we cut so many vocal tracks on this song-- and once i got around to laying down number 6 or 7, i had finally smoothed out enough to where we were able to use the entire track--meaning no "punch ins"--the only thing we had to switch off was the very last line and we took just a slightly better version from the track before. needless to say, it was a really nice intimate evening in the studio behind the mic.
